Members who make an additional annual donation of:
$50 - will be recognized as a "Patron Member" $75 - will be recognized as a "Benefactor Member"
Dues are paid annually during the
month of January. Anyone joining at a later date will have their dues
pro-rated for the months remaining in the year. Anyone with an interest in
astronomy may become a member by sending their name and payment to the
Treasurer or by presenting them to any society officer at a monthly meeting.
The Des Moines Astronomical Society, Inc. conducts monthly meetings on the
first Saturday of the month. (There is no general meeting in July, the society
holds an annual picnic at the observatory).
The Des Moines Astronomical Society, Inc. is a
non-profit, tax exempt organization under section 501.(c)(3) of the U.S. Tax
Code. All contributions received are tax deductable to the
donor.
